In coordination with the ARMA Board of Directors and ARMA 2021 Symposium Organizing Committee, we unfortunately have had to make the decision to postpone DFNE 2021.

ARMA 2021 will be held virtually 21-23 June; the DFNE Organizing Committee decided that for most DFNE participants, attending DFNE in-person is important. Therefore, DFNE will be rescheduled to 2022 rather than presented virtually.

The following options are being provided to DFNE authors:

  • DFNE authors will have the option to present their papers at special virtual DFNE sessions 21-23 June 2021.

  • The next in-person DFNE conference will be held June 29th through July 1 2022 in in conjunction with ARMA 2022 in Santa Fe, NM. All accepted papers for DFNE are automatically accepted for this revised date. Authors will have the option to revise their papers and re-submit if desired.

DFNE authors will be contacted concerning their preferences.

The American Rock Mechanics Association and ARMA 2021 invite you to DFNE 2021,

the third International Conference on Discrete Fracture Network Engineering.

We are very excited to present the important advances that have occurred since the previous conference, as DFNE approaches are broadly applied in engineering, geology, and geophysics, providing practical solutions for rock mass characterization, geomechanics, and fluid flow and transport.
